Just Back From: Tivoli La Caleta, Tenerife

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the wonderful five‑star Tivoli La Caleta in Tenerife – and what a fabulous experience it was. The hotel underwent a full refurbishment in 2023, and it really shows. Everything feels fresh, stylish and beautifully considered.

The resort features three heated swimming pools, including one exclusively for adults, along with four restaurants and three bars, giving guests plenty of choice throughout their stay.

Our room was incredibly spacious, with an equally generous bathroom complete with a separate bathtub and a large, powerful rain shower. We also enjoyed a lovely view overlooking the pool, with the sea glistening in the distance – the perfect backdrop to wake up to each morning.

Service across the resort was consistently excellent: warm, professional, efficient and genuinely friendly. Breakfast was another highlight, with an extensive buffet offering an impressive variety that left guests truly spoilt for choice.

We dined twice at Seen Restaurant, which quickly became our favourite. Its Mediterranean menu, sunset views and live entertainment created the perfect evening atmosphere. I also had the best lobster tagliatelle I’ve ever tasted – high praise coming from a Jersey girl.

The hotel’s location is ideal, with a short stroll taking you into La Caleta, home to an abundance of fantastic seafood restaurants, many with beautiful sunset views. It’s a wonderful area to explore.
