I had a wonderful family holiday at a stunning 5-star resort in Elounda, Crete. Since there were four of us, I reserved one of their fantastic 2-bedroom suites, complete with a private pool. The suite offered breathtaking sea views and overlooked the resort’s charming 9-hole par-3 golf course.

During my stay, I had the opportunity to take an extensive tour of the resort’s luxurious sister hotels, Peninsula All Suite Hotel and Elounda Mare Hotel. Each operates independently, ensuring there’s never a sense of overcrowding. This, of course, is complemented by the exceptional standard of customer service maintained at every hotel.

Guests can pre-book restaurant reservations at each hotel, and a dine-around board supplement is available for those wishing to explore the exceptional on-site dining options. Personally, I opted for a bed-and-breakfast arrangement, as we love experiencing the charm of local Greek tavernas. However, the times we dined at the hotel were exemplary.

The beach at the Porto Elounda Golf may be small, but it is pretty, with crystal-clear waters. While there are no sunbeds directly on the sand due to its size, a well-arranged sunbathing area overlooking the beach ensures a comfortable experience. Each section is equipped with sunshades and sunbeds, thoughtfully organised to maintain a sense of space. With beach service available, guests can relax in their designated area while enjoying drinks and meals.

Accommodation options include Superior Rooms and Suites offering stunning sea views, as well as Premium rooms featuring shared or private pools. For those seeking ultimate luxury, there are also villas available, each with its own private pool.
